The Body–Mind Bundle
Body, Sensitivity & Somatic Experience

About This Bundle

Body, Sensitivity & Somatic Experience brings together five clinically engaging webinars exploring the many ways the body participates in psychological life and psychotherapy. Moving beyond a purely cognitive or verbal understanding of distress, this collection considers how physiological regulation, bodily symptoms, sensitivity, trauma, attachment and relational experience intersect within the therapeutic encounter, while introducing key developments in contemporary somatic psychotherapy.

Across the bundle, leading clinicians offer diverse but complementary perspectives on embodiment: from the history and core principles of somatic psychotherapy and its connections with trauma theory, self psychology, interpersonal neurobiology and relational psychotherapy, to Heart Rate Variability (HRV) biofeedback and breathing as approaches to physiological regulation. The collection also explores the complex embodied and relational processes associated with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), the distinctive experiences and therapeutic implications of the Highly Sensitive Person, and the fundamentally relational and somatic nature of human experience.

Designed for psychotherapists, psychologists, counsellors and other mental health professionals, this five-webinar collection provides a rich and accessible exploration of the body–mind relationship in contemporary psychotherapy, inviting clinicians to consider how greater attention to embodiment, sensitivity, physiological regulation and relational experience can deepen therapeutic understanding and expand clinical practice.
